We do get an Emmet in the set, which is a bit unusual, since he was never really around for this particular ship in the movie.

They have a good velocity and travel a decent distance, although I wouldn't say they're going leave a mark on a person, if you're hit by one some feet away, I'm sure they should knock Lego guys over.I'm surprised that these molds have survived for as long as they have, 22 years between those two sets. The "pulley wheel", as you describe it, surprised me a year ago with its capacity as a compact stud reversal piece, which I first saw on the small craft in 70702 Wasp Stinger.

All three are great windscreen parts (I never thought I’d see the UCS X-Wing canopy in another color! Flickr is full of inspiration but of course, what New Elementary Classic Space post would be complete without mentioning the inspiration you'll find in Pete Reid and Tim Goddard's LEGO Space: Building the Future ? Many FOLs have been shouting for a Classic Space Revival for a very long time, and The LEGO Movie has renewed the desire. Yes, at 23 I'm too young to have experienced the original Classic Space theme—but that's one more reason why I can't wait to have this set. It's great for those who like a bit of a challenge and there are extra building instructions on the official Lego site if you need a helping hand.

None of this was enough to keep me from building this entire spaceship, though, and I must say that it was worth it. This is the best view to appreciate the ship's overall shape: the sides slope gently at the front, with the angle becoming steeper around the centre section, until it sweeps outward around the wings, and tapering again at the rear.

Her head is designed to look like you're seeing her face through a blue helmet, and it's reasonably successful.Some reviewers also mention that the set was a big hit and is one of the best Lego builds they have ever completed.
