I have also tried a replacement camera, but that too had the same problem. I have tried different monitors, all of which work with other devices and the same cables. I am a professional film and video editor and in my professional opinion this is a firmware issue as I can tell a connection is being due to the fact that the camera goes into a recycle loop whenever an HDMI cable is connected.
