About this deal

Polished Handles: The steel handles have a polished finish, so smudges and fingerprints are difficult to hide. You’ll need to buff the handle regularly to keep it looking new. Since this review is for the HexClad cookware, I will not get into the pros and cons of each type of cookware, but will compare the HexClad cookware to some of them and let you know why I prefer this cookware over some of the others. You’d never mistake these pans for cheap department-store cookware. They’re so reliable that Michelin-star chefs trust them in their kitchens.

This is all of the differences I can think of for now. If I think of more, I will add them. For now, I am impressed with the HexClad cookware, but I will not likely eliminate much of the cookware I already have. As mentioned previously, each has their own benefits. I may eventually decide to eliminate some of the heavier cookware as it is more difficult to use. I may also eliminate cookware that requires more maintenance. The foundation pieces every chef needs to sizzle, sear, and sauté. Having guests over for a festive gathering? Sauté seasonal veggies, sear your favourite protein, and simmer a savoury sauce. Get ready for culinary accolades. Your guests will never guess your secret weapon is HexClad. Includes a sizzling array of sizes: Cast iron, and enameled cast iron is very heavy and must be seasoned after every use to maintain it. This cookware does not required seasoning after it is done initially. Carbon steel is not as heavy, but must also be seasoned after every use. It’s also a great option if you have limited space in your kitchen and are looking to consolidate your cookware. With HexClad, you don’t need separate pans for each task. Gordon Ramsay, the outspoken Michelin-star chef and TV personality, recently became the lead spokesperson for HexClad. He claims to use HexClad pans in his home and says, “their hybrid technology cooks to absolute, utter perfection.”As for weight, the cast iron and enameled cast iron (Staub and Le Creuset) are the heaviest, carbon steel comes in second, and HexClad and Ninja are about the same. Over time, HexClad has appeared in top cookware roundups and has been mentioned by respected cookware reviewers.

Stainless steel cookware needs to be cleaned very time with Bar Keeper's Friend to keep it clean and shiny. The HexClad cookware does have stainless steel on the exterior, but is easier to keep looking shiny since cooking is not done on it. Wash and dry works.Discoloration: Like regular stainless steel cookware, the steel portion of HexClad gets stained and requires significant scrubbing. Burnt oil and tiny food particles are the biggest culprits. If that happens, follow these methods to restore your pan. Unlike HexClad, Anolon’s steel mesh is only on the flat part of the cooking surface; it does not extend throughout. So there’s no protection from scratching if you accidentally scrape the walls. Anolon X pans are made with a hard-anodized aluminum base; HexClad’s base is 3-ply stainless steel. Reviewed.com, a USA Today brand, named HexClad the best overall hybrid cookware set, ranking it among well-established brands like All-Clad, Cuisinart, and Hestan. The review team praised its even heating, ergonomic handles, and ability to tolerate metal utensils without damage. To see how HexClad compares to the competition regarding heat conduction, I conducted a simple test.

All HexClad Cookware is a breeze to keep clean. The surface is metal-utensil resistant and, while hand-washing is highly recommended, cleanable with your dishwasher or steel wool pads. I did not find a single flaw or scratch on any of the pieces I received. They have a beautiful shiny mirror like finish on the outside, and all the welds on the handles are strong and clean. It’s also an excellent all-purpose pan to take with you traveling or a great option if you have limited kitchen space and want to consolidate your cookware. With HexClad, you don’t need separate pans for each task. The key takeaway is that HexClad conducts and retains heat as well (if not better) than some of the more established brands on the market. Durability Anolon X handles are much flatter, with a slight curve to rest your thumb. This design provides a more secure grip and reduces the risk of the pan rotating in your hand.Your HexClad Pot Set is ready for any kitchen, thanks to compatibility with induction, gas, electric, and ceramic cooktops while being oven-safe up to 500°F. Note: HexClad Lids are suitable for use up to 400°F. If you don’t have time to read this entire comprehensive HexClad review, here are the key points. These insights are based on my experience testing HexClad pots and pansfor several years. Throughout the full review, you’ll find videos and over a dozen pictures I captured during my testing.
