Mold or mildew on a bathroom wall is more than unsightly. It is a potential environmental and health hazard, according to the Centers for Disease Control. If you see signs of bathroom mold or mildew on your bathroom wall, you are going to want to deal with it right away—before it erupts into a much bigger problem. One big indication is the existence of tiny dark sparks in the corner near the shower. Add 60 grams to 5 litres to 120 grams to 10 litres of Kingfisher “Weatherflex” paint or similar quality exterior coating by stirring in (ideally with a power paddle) and apply by brush or roller to create a tough “mould-hostile” decorative finish. The anti mould additive can be added to most paints to prevent mould growth through out high risk areas of mould. We have used this paint before and it seemed to work, no more mould so far and the wall felt a lot warmer, so we have bought another tin to try in a very cold porch so hope it will work as well.
